Annual College Scholarship Criteria
- Town of Meteor resident
Minimum twelve credits per semester
Payment to be made directly to applicant after producing prior semesters transcripts (grades may be blacked out)
All qualified applicants will split scholarship fund interest income equally Maximum of $1000 / year or $5000 / 5 years (do not have to be consecutive years)
Any unused interest income will be returned to the principal fund annually
Initial investment of $40,000 in a 5-year certificate of Deposit will yield about $2000 of interest income annually.
Personal Improvement Fund Criteria
Funds may be used for any educational or self-improvement curriculum. Examples include computer classes, leadership courses, WITC classes (such as furniture making or fly tying), etc.

Requests will be made to the Town Board
- Preference will be given to "group" classes
- "First Come / First Serve" Annually
Any unused interest income will be returned to the principal fund annually Outside students are welcome to attend group sessions but must pay the instructor fee (varies).
